PFW Fall 2015 Ready-to-Wear: My top 5.

Before we knew it the last fashion week of the month was upon us, Paris Fashion Week. Celebrities, fashionistas and models flocked to the city of love to see what the designers had come up for us this year. All collections were stunning but 5 in particular stood out for me…

1. Iris Van Herpen.

I adore Iris Van Herpen’s work and always have done. It is the perfect combination of art and fashion. The textures she uses are genius and her RTW collection was no different. The shoes were stunningly beautiful and I adored the use of silver/grey tones for fall, it was a fresh, well needed change from the over used maroon colours we see each year.

2. Giambattista Valli.

Giambattista Valli is a consistent favorite of mine, there’s something about the feminine, yet dynamic silhouettes he creates. I’m glad to see the 60’s trend being carried on into the fall and i love the subtle adaptations he’s made to make it wearable, like the fur bandeau in the last picture completes the monochrome look.

3.Alexander McQueen.

Sarah Burton certainly did Lee justice with this feisty, yet feminine collection. It was the perfect balance between scary and womanly. I love the ruffles! I am going to the Savage Beauty exhibition in London later this year and I cannot wait to see these insane creations in person.

4.Valentino.

Zoolander 2 At The Paris Fashion Week

Amongst the angelic designs that could only be expected from Valentino came the greatest finale, Zoolander 2. Before this week I had no clue what Zoolander was, after having it explained I thought this was a hilarious creative way to promote a new film, and if Anna Wintour approves, then so do I!

5. Valentin Yudashkin

This collection was no stranger to the usual wacky yet stunning collections from Valentin Yudashkin. Metallic sports wear? Yes please! The collections varied massively, some looks were polished and shiny whereas others used ruffles and lace. Loves it!

I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing my favorites from PFW, I certainly enjoyed trying to keep up with them!
