Whilst in London I also attended the Judy Wu SS17 collection “Curve”.

The aim of the collection was to magnify “the beauty of femininity, empowering women in this increasing fragmented world.”

The word fragmented, was clearly a theme int he designs however they ran seamlessly into one stunning collection through the very clever use of curves and colour blocking. I feel the interesting textures of netting and plastic zips also helped to bring the clothes together and it was a very intelligent showing.

Similarly to the Asli Polat collection, there were lots of blue detailing on white garments so it will be exciting to see how this materialises in high street stores next spring.

This season also features the designer’s first ever handbag collection which is named Ling. The modern straps and neutral tones make for a very special bag indeed and I am desperate to get my hands on one!

The set truly made the show with mannequins almost as brightly coloured as the clothes and assistants in lab coats, truly confirming how calculated Judy’s collection was. It truly brought another, almost futuristic dimension to SS17 that I wasn’t expecting, but now, along with other audience members of the show I’m sure, I am highly anticipating it.

Massive thank you to the Judy Wu team for inviting me to the show, I’m so excited to attend future shows, what a truly wonderful collection it was.
