SPRING

021.jpg

Aaaand were back in the dreaded transition season of Spring. Forever my worst season, it is so hard to choose an outfit which is weather appropriate and on trend. Even the shops get confused, chilly looking mannequins wearing only a bralette doesn’t exactly look appealing when you’re stepping in out of the rain. So what to wear? Florals? Hardly groundbreaking. Stripes looks decidedly too harsh for the indecisive weather and sandals risk soggy toes.

This year, the stripe issue has been addressed with gingham, and I aint mad at it. Gypsy tops add a delicate feel to a harsh black and white print, layered with a turtle neck you keep your warmth. Paired with pastels (my personal favourites being lilac and lemon) they are the perfect transition look for spring.

Another new addition to my wardrobe for Spring 2017 is the dreaded denim. I always feel too fat for jeans and so avoid them like the plague however I liked the cut of this pair from Zara and thought I’d give it a go. I mean I like them, but they definitely wont be replacing my go to skirts.

If you’ve been following for a while, you’ll know that every spring without fail, I get the mules out and this year is no exception, also from Zara, these white mules are slowly becoming my go – to shoes over my converse, I think they go with everything and paired with pastel nail varnish they are definitely an easy way to update your look for spring… in loooove with them and at ¬£25 they didn’t hurt my bank either.

SPRING

BERLIN TECHNO

Whilst in Berlin we could only hack the one messy night in Tresor, seriously, too much sambuca.

Decked out in glitter and water bottles of vodka we embarked on the weirdest U-Bahn ride of our lives, if Germans hadn’t been welcoming to us so far, they definitely weren’t when we found other bevvy English speakers, who, somehow convinced us to get off the Ubahn at the wrong stop to go to a club called Hive, which we soon found out was actually in Scotland.

Stepping into Berlin’s answer to Factory we were met by a wave of smoke, techno and drunk Europeans and although we don’t love techno it was easy to get into the vibe when men in sheepskin vests were dragging you into the darnce.

Although clubs in Berlin are very different to the ones in England, with enough vodka you can definitely have a night to remember, techno is a major part of the Berlin culture, so it would be rude not to, right?

BERLIN TECHNO

BERLIN

Back in October, Ryan air held a halloween sale, DUMP HIM got wind of it and a spontaneous trip to Berlin was booked….

Armed with Puffa jackets, DUMP HIM touched down in Berlin looking more like a girl band than ever.

First impressions of Berlin:

  • Cold
  • Christmassy
  • V confusing public transport.

We booked an Air BnB in Gesundbrunnen, queen sized bunk beds added to the adventure even if they were hard to get into after a few too many cocktails at the bar we discovered down the road. We probably spent more time in Fbar than we did in our apartment with B.I.G. playing, red fairy lights and graffiti scrawled across the walls, this place was VIBIN.

Safe to say, the first night in Berlin was a messy one thanks to our main man (?) Daniel, the south african bar tender. ūüôā
